Well I’m sitting in an internet cafe in Sydney at the moment. I’m up here for a week sitting in on a ec council course. That means I should have plenty of time to work through a couple of scenarios at night this week. I’m going to concentrate on QoS question interpretation and Multicast which are still my biggest weak areas. I’m planning on going through all the QoS stuff in Internetwork Expert workbook 1 and write up a summary on it.
I have also started reading Troubleshooting IP Routing Protocols by Cisco Press. I’m begginning to think I should have picked this up earlier. It is awesome. It was written by 4 guys who work for the Cisco TAC. They take each routing protocol and present problems that are debugged step by step. I have picked up a few things reading it already. For example they go through exactly why you might need to disable split horizon on an interface with a secondary address. I always just did it without actually knowing why it worked but they went through it. Writing up an article on it is definitely on my list of things to do!
