When you say:

‘Notice we also have the as-set command so the atomic-aggregate will be set.’

Shouldn’t the as-set command make it so the atomic-aggregate will NOT be set? Earlier you had said:

‘The as-path paramter for the aggregate-address command allows us to create an BGP aggregate without setting the atomic-aggregate attribute.’

Don’t these two statements contradict each other?

Also, why do you use ‘e1/0 = LAN 12′ in your Dynagen configuration? Why do you not simply connect the two router interfaces directly?

@Bobby: Great question. The AS_PATH_SEQ is now 2 3 making it appear as though AS3 originated the aggregate.

Is the AS_PATH_SEQ now 2 3 (making it appear as though AS3 originated the aggregate) and thus the AS_SET is null OR is the AS_PATH_SEQ 2 and there is still an AS_SET which has 3?

Great article with extensive explanation and examples. What’s explained in “the books” in about 20-30 pages, you did it here in less than 5, but the explanation is more “human” and can be approached even the guys that are leading for CCNP now.
