Writing about something you study, is another way of exploring the material using your verbal skills. It also helps to look at the topic from different angles and keeps it more in memory; and from the traders prespective I can see it as a profit locking strategy :)

yah..you are right arden. i agree with that. actually i am ccna as offnow but next year maybe i taking ccnp composite and i want to pursue may ccie carreer may be in 2011 i hope i can. i created a blog but not in ccieblogs. i created in blogspot. http://ccnpredhot.blogspot.com it is all about my knowledge in networking and systems, i post it because to a lot of people. i hope someday become a ccie. and help us that tirst in knowledge in IT. tenx all ccie that have been posted here, his knowledge. and arden.

[...] Well here goes..my first blog. I never thought I’d say those words. Regardless, I’ve decided in the past couple of months I would pursue the CCIE R&S certification. At this point, I’ve had about 4 years networking experience, hold a CCNA, passed the BSCI, and am taking the BCMSN towards the CCNP in a month. Sure, the CCIE sounds ambitious for someone who has yet to complete the CCNP, but I am confident in my abilities, and more confident in my motivation and drive. I thought it would be nice for others to see a blog from an “average joe”…someone not necessarily a genius in this field, but rather someone who really wants something, and is determined to get it. I hope it’ll serve as a source of motivation for others. Another reason for this blog, is actually a suggestion from ardenpackeer’s outstanding blog (Ardenpackeer.com). [...]

Like Antonie said, having a blog gives an extra push to “put in a little extra effort”.

But sometimes I wonder, If I wasn’t blogging maybe I would be further along in my studies. It does take a lot of time to get my notes into a legible blog format.

However…. blogging does make me slow down and as a result it helps me get down into more detail in my studies.

So maybe… maybe not… who knows?

I agree, blogging the CCIE journey made studying for the lab fun and motivated me to put a little extra effort in. Through blogging I also met a few CCIE candidates to share ideas with. Definitely good advice.

I’ve finally decided to take the plunge and set up my own blog (http://roy.ccieblog.com/) (lol why does this remind me of the people who go on talk shows only to plug their book/movie :)).

I was thinking with all the blosg out there there wasn’t much point in also doing one myself, by I’ll see hhow it goes :)
